They say that, when an object is well-loved...it is eventually imbued with a soul. Then what about the garbage, the trash, that gets thrown away? What is that imbued with? Gachiakuta, Chapter 1, Page 1Gachiakuta is a gritty, action manga by Kei Urana set in a floating world called the Sphere. Here, the rich Spherites live privileged lives marked with luxury and consumerism, and the poorer Tribesfolk, who are descendents of criminals, are segregated to the Slums. After being framed for a crime he didn’t commit, Rudo, one of the tribesfolk, is thrown into an abyss called The Pit where all the world's trash is discarded. During his descent, Rudo vows revenge against the cruel and unfair world of the Sphere. Landing on the Ground, Rudo encounters grotesque Trash Monsters, born from the lingering hatred within discarded objects. As Rudo learns to navigate this dangerous landscape shaped by trash, trauma, and forgotten stories, he also slowly unravels the truth behind the world’s corruption and the injustices that gave birth to both Sphere and the Pit.

When I was little, I used to sit in front of the TV eagerly waiting for my favorite anime shows to come on.
And as that little kid, I used to dream about one day having my own manga turned into an anime by Bones, a studio I love.
I’m looking forward to watching the Gachiakuta anime on the screen together with you all!
